Start with the exact material name and grade or specification. If a drawing controls the requirement, identify the drawing number and revision.
Include form, dimensions, quantity and unit. Preserve the units used in your source document, and identify any line that requires clarification.
State the required delivery date, ship-to location and documentation requirements. A requested date becomes a commitment only when explicitly confirmed in a formal quote.
